Washington DC Metra Project

Mass transit project in D.C. “Ties” for railroads were mortar pads attached to invert structure by epoxy, which failed. Frisby Group assisted in evaluating technical problems and resolved contract and commercial issues.


Aloha Stadium Project

The Aloha Stadium is the multi-use stadium where the Pro Bowl has been played. 90 foot long interior wings of the stadium were to move on an air transport system along concrete runways to form a baseball configuration, and then return to form a football bowl. Although a great idea initially it didn’t work well. The Frisby Group assisted in solving technical and contract problems to be complete in time for the first World Football League game.


Minoru Yamasaki Representation


World Trade Center

The Frisby Group represented Minoru Yamasaki who designed the World Trade Center towers 1 and 2.


Reef Runway at Honolulu International Airport Dispute Resolution

This is the runway installed in the ocean off Oahu. Delay issues arose because of stop work orders arising out of environmental issues, and the question of whether these were acts of government in private or sovereign capacity. “After going through three courts, and ending up on the doorstep of the U.S. Supreme Court, the runway EIS was ruled adequate, affirming the action of a lower court. The legal action stopped work on the runway for more than three months. (Reef Runway)” The Frisby Group resolved dispute successfully for client.


Medical University of South Carolina Claims Resolution

The Frisby Group negotiated successful resolution of major claims amounting to over ten million dollars due to delay damages, termination and impact for the Medical University of South Carolina


North Charleston Coliseum Project

Guam International Airport

GIA construction was disrupted because of major design changes which altered work flow. In addition to handling contract and commercial issues, The Frisby Group assisted in bringing a Filipino labor force to the island to assist in completion of the project.
